RESUME' OF THE BUSINESS TRANSACTED BY THE RAJYA SABHA DURING ITS TWO HUNDRED
AND THIRTEENTH SESSION
(25-2-2008 to 20-3- 2008 and 15-4-2008 to 6-5-2008)
Summons for the Two Hundred and Thirteenth Session of
the Rajya Sabha was issued
to the Members on the 11th February, 2008.
The Two Hundred and Thirteenth Session of the Rajya Sabha commenced on the
25th February,
2008. The House was scheduled to adjourn on the 20th March, 2008 for
four weeks to enable the Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committees
to examine and report on the Demands for Grants of various
Ministries/Departments. It was to
reassemble on the 15th April, 2008 and adjourn on the 9th
May, 2008. However, the House adjourned sine die on the 6th
May, 2008. The House sat for 30 days and the actual hours of sittings were 141
hours and 08 minutes (excluding recess intervals). The House was prorogued by
the President on the 10th May, 2008.
On the 25th February, 2008, National Anthem was played.

the 25th February, 2008.

assembled together on the 25th February, 2008.
