Yellama; born : at Kolar (Gurjenahalli), October 4, 1929; educated at (i) Government Primary & Higher Schools, Kolar, (ii) Maharaja's College, Mysore, (iii) Sharada Vilas Law College, Mysore and (iv) Govt. Law College, Bangalore; married to : Shrimati Saroja Lakshmi Krishnan; 3 son and 6 daughter

Agriculturist and Supreme Court Advocate; fluent in English, Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Urdu; started several co-operative and industrial societies for the uplift of labourers and backward classes specially for Scheduled Castes and Tribes; founder President of several Primary and Secondary Schools and College including Vocational Guidance Teachers' Training Institutes, Nursing Institutes and Industrial Cooperative Societies for the upliftment of persons belonging to backward classes including Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes; was Chairman, Coffee Board, November 1988 to January, 1990; President, (i) "People to People" New Delhi since 1971, (ii) Delhi Karnataka Sangha, New Delhi, 1982--86, (iii) Delhi Kannada Film Society, 1980--85, (iv) Akhil Bharat Wadder Samaj Sangh, (a Labour Organisation) since 1972, (v) Kolar District Congress (I) Committee, 1978 80, (vi) K.S.R.T.C.
