Chartered Accountant; participated in the Freedom Movement of 1942 as well as in the students' movement; associated with Indian National Congress for twogenerations; made an extensive study and research work in the field of Direct Taxation with Taxation in Commonwealth Countries as a special subject; was deputed

by the Government of India to attend `Peasom in Maribus' Peace in Ocean Conference at Malta in 1970 and 1973 and Oknivoa, Japan in 1975; President, (i) Board of Control
