Retired High Court Judge; was involved in cultural and sports activities along with other political activities from 1955 to 1971; taught Law at Madhava College, Vikram University; was honorary professor of law at Sandipani Mahavidyalaya; selected as Parvin Fellow by the Parvin Foundation headed by Justice William O'Douglas of the U.S. Supreme Court; studied Legislative Drafting under the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Cooperation at Sri Lanka; practised law from July 1955 to June 1971; selected as District Judge directly from Bar on July 1, 1971; worked as, (i) Presiding Officer in Central Government Industrial Tribunal and Labour Court, (ii) State Transport Appellate Tribunal, Government of Madhya Pradesh and (iii) Legal Rememberancer and Secretary, Law and Legislative Affairs Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, January 1984 to July, 1986; served as Judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court from July 4, 1986 to 1994 and also as Welfare Commissioner, Bhopal Gas Tragedy since 1989, in addition to duties as the High Court Judge; as a member of International Law Association attended the Paris Conference; was also a delegate at the Warsaw Conference of International Law Association; was a delegate at the Conference of Commonwealth Judges and Magistrates
Association in Ottawah (Canada) where elected as the member of the Executive Council; Founder Trustee of "Sandipani Niyas" running Arts and Law Colleges; Founder President of Ujjain Arts Theatres and Ujjain Sports Association; President, Ujjain Municipal Committee, 1958-59; was Vice-President, Ujjain Municipal Committee; was Chairman (i) Public Works Committee and Standing Committee of Ujjain Municipal Committee, (ii) M.P. Waqf Board, and (iii) M.P.
