Accomplishment in arts and science: Recipient of Kannada Rajyothsava Prashasthi, 1988 by the Government of Karnataka for contribution to higher education both academically and administratively.

Publications: Editor, Gruha Vignana; co-author, Health, Home and Family Life and Participation in Civil and Community Activities; published a number of papers titled `Overview of Home Science Education at Undergraduate Level', `Significance of Balawadi', `Reflections on Education in India', `Community Services

in Colleges in India' and `Perspectives of Higher Education'; presented papers at several national and international conferences on socio-economic and educational aspects such as `Diversity Programmes in the Colleges and Universities in India to promote greater understanding among students, faculty, and the public', `The Thoughts and Philosophy of Dr. B.R.Ambedkar,' `Creative Curriculum Development and Practice of International Understanding', `Status of Home Economics in India', `Curriculum Innovation for Better Living' and `Empowerment of Women for Principals of Colleges from all over India';guided several students in their M.Sc., M.Phil and Ph.D. dissertations.
