High School, (ii) District College, Keonjhar and (iii) M.S. Law College, Cuttack; m. Shrimati Santi Lata Barik, February 15, 1965; 2 s. and 1 d. Agriculturist; associated with Kisan Organisations; previously associated with Utkal Congress, Janata Party and Janata Dal; Block Chairman, Keonjhar Sadar Block, 1971; A.P.P. for Keonjhar Distt. Court, 1977 to 1979; Member, (i) Committee on Science and Technology, Environment and Forests and (ii) Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Industry; elected to the Rajya Sabha in April,1994.
